Virginialis White Lily

This Hardy Water Lily is known as Virginialis. 
This is the largest hardy water lily that we sell. 
Virginialis is an early bloomer that produces a continuous crop of Huge White flowers. 
The pads can be as large as 10" across and the flowers can easily exceed 6". 
This plant is a heavy consumer. Don't forget to fertilize regularly and sufficiently.
Virginialis was developed here in the desert and has a very wide range of tolerance to PH variations.
It continues to produce pads down to water temperatures below 40F.
You will receive a well rooted, young plant that is already developing many pads.
This plant will flower in it's first season with sufficient sun and feeding.

This is a strong grower that flowers profusely in full sun. Just remember that big lilies are heavy feeders.

You MUST fertilize sufficiently with pond tabs for best results. Use only non-burning fertilizer.

Young water lilies need a lot of sun. Clear shallow water provides the greatest amount of light. 

Always start lilies as close to the surface as possible. A few inches under water is perfect.

Then as the pads spread widely, begin dropping the pot lower, keeping all pads on the water surface.

We grow ours with just enough water over the pots to allow the pads to always lay flat on the surface.

Try this, you will be very happy with the results.

We recommend immediate re-positioning into a bucket filled with water, in light shade, until the plant(s) can be conveniently prepared for your water garden.
