Wanvisa Changing Pink Water Lily Wanvisa Waterlily
Wanvisa is full of wonderful surprises. Blossoms are changeable from peach to deep pink with yellow flecking. Occasionally, flowers may be half and half solid yellow to their traditional pink. Wanvisa's lilypads are reddish with green mottling. Hybridized by Dr. N. Nopchai Chansilpa in Thailand.
Waterlily ‘Wanvisa’ was awarded the Best New Waterlily by the International Waterlily & Water Garden Society in 2010. The shocking orange/pink flowers represent a never-before-seen color in waterlilies and are speckled with creamy yellow. Wild! The pads create a nice backdrop of deep green with chocolate marbling. The best part is, this amazing waterlily is winter hardy!
Wanvisa the newest in the line of World Champion Waterlilies at Ailyns-Pond & Nursery.
Wanvisa is a striking changeable hardy waterlily. It changes from a modest apricot with yellow splotches to a deep pink as the 3rd flower-day given ample nutrition. Plant in a 16 inch wide by 6 inch deep container. The lily likes fertilizer. Shallow water will encourage eyes to grow (multiply the plant) but decreases blooms.
The International Waterlily and Water Gardening Society (IWGS) awarded the lily Nymphaea ‘Wanvisa’ as the 2011 Collector’s Aquatic Plant of the Year. This hardy waterlily boasts variegated pink and white petals, a rare occurrence for tropical waterlilies and never seen in hardy lilies until the introduction of Wanvisa.
